Title: The Last Temptation of Iago Wick
Author: Jennifer Rainey
If you’re looking for a book where Heaven and Hell pull strings in a nuanced and intriguing manner, this one isn’t it. Pass this over for Good Omens. It’s not bad. The plot stays flat, and every “twist” is predictable.
I took a while to get into it. Even then, it was like going on a long road trip, but even that is more interesting. I can’t think of something as monotonously not good or bad as this. My rating shifted between 1-star and 3-star for the majority of the book though that’s likely out of pity and a lot of reviewing prior low starred books.
There weren’t grievous mistakes. No sharp formatting issues. Just – blah.
